Stupid wisteria question

We have recently moved into a house with a young Wisteria - it hasn't flowered yet but I really want to do all I can to encourage it. I have been following the RHS pruning guidelines to the best of my ability.

After a few nights of particularly stormy weather it started looking very sad indeed and has now not only dropped its leaves but also all its young green branches.

Is that ok? Is it normal? Have I killed it?

Sounds normal to me. Don't panic.

I would expect it to have dropped all its leaves by now but not sure what you mean by "young green branches". I think these are probably the leaf stalks which will fall with the leaves leaving a framework of grey woody stems with buds. Often the thinnest, youngest ends of these woody stems die back a bit over the winter. That's normal too

Thank you, you've put my mind at ease! I really want to try to do the right thing in the garden but I am absolutely clueless!
