hello, we've had a bokashi since xmas and have just opened our first batch that has been 'pickling' for the last two weeks. We were a bit disappointed because it still looked exactly like the food that went into it! Have we done something wrong? I've been accusing DH of skimping on the bran! We ended up closing it up again after adding a nice layer of bran on top but not sure what to do next as the other bin is now full so we need the first once emptied to use again IYSWIM. We have been getting loads of the lovely 'juice' from the bokashi so something must be happening.
Bit confused...
