Damned deer

Anyone have any views on deer repellent sprays? The little swine have gobbled up the lovely black lace elder I transplanted from a tub on the patio. A million windfalls, ivy and brambles everywhere, but no, they have to gobble up my best plant.

You can get spray to repel deer? Really?!

Well, blow me down with a feather!! You can! And according to this blog, they do work, particularly the ones made from 'putrified eggs' (ew): www.motherearthnews.com/organic-gardening/deer-repellent-zb0z1208zmat

I hate to say it, but I imagine that the only thing that would be really effective long-term would be a fence or some kind of barrier. I appreciate that's an expensive option, though.

Hair eh? Any idea how long the bags work for tinkly?

At some stage we may improve the barrier, but it's a long garden and money isn't abundant.

Good review, thanks holly.
