wondering about replacing fencing which blew down in the strong winds but hesitating because of the costs and the labour - anyone else done this?

Hedging is a pig to maintain, unless you like pruning and shearing. And it takes up more garden space. But it's a lovely haven for birds, which is a definite plus.

Ring around for an odd-job man, to reduce the fencing costs. We had some done very reasonably.

Agree CorrieDale but it's a pig to keep replacing! Is there any really strong fencing apart from barbed wire?

I think that having sturdy fenceposts is the key thing. And also the heinously expensive thing. Sorry!
