Both DH and I are involved with a scout group and one of our ongoing problems (not at all surprisingly) is fundraising. We hold several events throughout the year and are generally well supported by a fairly well off community.
DH has suggested that we could perhaps sell plants as an extra at one of our usual events, which strikes me as a brilliant idea. So what I'm after is minimum financial input for maximum gain 
I suppose the logical thing would be to have the younger kids pot up sunflowers or tomatoes and trust that people would pay 50p or so, on the basis it was for charity. However I got to wondering if there was anything more sophisticated that may sell particularly well?
I have a small army of volunteers so space and actual manpower isn't too much of an issue (within reason!)
We also hold this event two or three times a year with our next one being in October, so ideas for all seasons would be extremely welcome
