Bastard greenfly

Been away for a week, and come back to find my sweet peas being decimated by greenfly.

I am loathe to use chemical sprays on them. Do I just pull them up?

The annoying thing is I had loads of ladybirds come out of hibernation in my garden in Spring.

I've heard that soapy water sprayed onto them can help. Haven't tried it myself though, this is my first year of gardening and the ladybirds have done a good job with mine so far!

I pulled them as they were past their best really.
