Have I killed my new tree?

I have had a Kilmarnock willow planted in my garden about 2 months ago. About 3 weeks ago I damaged the bark whilst strimming Sad. I am not a gardener but I gather this is very bad. The tree now has quite a few brown leaves. Is it too late to save it?

Have you got a picture? Usually you have to cut right the way around the trunk to actually kill it - stripping a bit of bark off shouldn't be too bad. Or did you take a gouge out of it?

I meant of the damage! Grin nice tree though.

Has there been any new growth since the strimmer damage?

Also, try scratching a tiny piece of bark off one of the brown leaf branches with your nail. Is it green or brown underneath?
