how do i force rhubarb?

Just put an upturned large terracotta pot over the top of the crown when shoots start to appear.

basically you need to starve the rhubarb of light so that it grows up to try to reach it, plant rhubarb, shove pot/bucket,old chimeny over it, wait, eat. In Wakefield they grow them by candlelight.
