Pink / purple shade loving shrubs

I would like to make a new bed in a part of the garden that gets no full sun.

Are there any pink/purple shrubs that like shade?

Purple hellebores for winter flowering. Some hebes are purple flowering. I always use the RHS plant finder to find plants that fit my colour/shade combination.

There's Heuchera 'Strawberry Swirl' or Heucherella alba 'Bridget Bloom', which have dainty pink flowers. And Epimedium x rubrum.

Tricyrtis hirta ''Taiwan Adbane' is unusual looking, also Tricyrtia formosana 'Dark Beauty'. They've got purple flowers.

These aren't shrubs though, just realised that's what you're after. They will help fill out the bed at the front though.

Cornus kousa 'Snowboy' would be lovely, the leaves have a beautiful variegation that would scorch in the sun. They turn pink and red before falling in the autumn.

Not a shrub ,but Tiarella has purple leaves and lovely white flowers. Some hardy geraniums will grow well in shade.

Lavateras are tall pink shrubs that grow well in the shade - mine is about to flower.

I also have a pale pink Deutzia that thrives in semi shade, despite the general advice that they need full sun. That flowered about a month ago.

There are also flowering currants earlier in the season - I have a pink one that grows very happily in very deep shade, again despite advice they like full sun (nb it was a previous occupant who planted the deutzia and the currant - they obviously knew a thing or two about gardening).

Many hydrangeas are happy in shade and if you have acid soil you'll be able to grow a purple or bluey one - if it's alkaline you'll be restricted to pink or white only. I have 'lime green' that has flowers that open green, turn white then turn pink.

Hardy fuchsias like shade and there are some very lovely pink/purple ones. The house next door to me had a very neglected one which was still stunning when in flower, sadly the new neighbours pulled it out Sad
