Hi ladies,

This is growing like topsy in my front flower bed cum rockery. I thought it looks a bit like Japanese anenome so I've left it, along with lots of brambles and weeds but now I'm considering digging it out or blasting it with round up as the bed looks suck a mess?

Anyone able to id it please? Close up and another photo showing the mess

Looks just like my japanese anenome (which has also taken over a whole bed)

Yes Japanese Anenome, which can be a thug, but doesn't mind thinning. There are some varieties that don't spread as much.
It's useful to fill up bare patches.

Excellent, thanks bore and jt

Don't mind it being Japanese anenomes. Bad garden full of ground elder, so was worrieditmight be another pest...
