So who else has a tree or something similar down from yesterdays winds?

Our old Conker tree has been split & most of it is now blocking our drive. Thankfully, house is ok & only a small dent on my car. If I had parked where I normally do I would have no car left.

The BT line was bought down so I was amazed that they replaced it today!

The remaining trunk a few branches are badly damaged, and you can see right through in one place so getting quotes to have the whole thing removed now as it is unsafe

Still, at least we were all safe.

OMG that was lucky with the car.

No trees lost here just a bird feeder and the fence. Which can stay down now until the spring when the ground is a bit dryer to put a new one up, and all my bulbs have finished

next doors 30 foot leilandi came crashing through our fence into our garden yesterday. We have also lost our entire front fence and several roof tiles actually leaving a hole in our roof

Our hideous inherited Leylandii hedge has bought it I think
Luckily no crashing, it is sort of leaning drunkenly on the shed, but we will have to get it seen to quickly as it is clearly unstable
Might at last get the beech hedge I have always yearned for...
Everything else unscathed including the massive, beautiful oak tree on the end of the road, phew

Hooray - one less leilandi!

Sorry, not a very useful post, I know!!

MIL lost her apple tree. We've had piles of apples of it over the years. Will have to buy cooking apples from now on.

On a positive note, I am ok for my woodburning stove for a couple of years
