Planning permission moving frame

Hello
We want to put up a climbing frame at the end of our garden.
I have read conflicting information on planning permission. Do people really get planning permission for climbing frames?
It would be at the end of the garden and there are trees between us and neighbours.

If it is over a certain height any garden structure needs pp.

2.5m is maximum height and 2m from boundary.

Thanks Liz

It would be smaller than 2.5 and 2 m from a boundary. We were just going to get a wooden tower with a slide and fireman pole.
It's the any platform over 30cm gets me. Surely even the smallest plastic little tikes climbing frame is over 30cm as is every trampoline.
