does anyone know anything about roses?

My mum planted a rose in the garden years ago, I've moved back into the property and the rose is still there, last year it randomly started blooming again, lovely yellow blooms. This year it's a different colour but it's got this pink spotting all over it. Is it dying, I'm quite attached to it since my mum passed away, she was really passionate about roses.

Not sure about the pink spots but the black ones can be got rid of with Rose Clear. Don't use it when there are bees around though.

Roses can change colour if there is a sudden change of temperature apparently, but sometimes it is due to the fact many roses are grafted onto different root stock so the colours merge or change for that reason.

have you had a lot of rain? ( silly question I know !) but the pink spotting could be rain damage

Yes we've had spells of heavy rain.
