Yuck red ant nest help

So have a mound red ant nest how of I get rid of it, there are so many ways when I google but would love some proven ideas.

Not environmentally friendly but the aerosol ant and crawling insect killer from various shops does the trick quickly IMO. I kill nests this time of year as I react horribly to red ant bites ......
