I've got a dozen stones pots some 12" wide and some 18" - how many upright geraniums do you think each pot should have , the geraniums are in 9cm pots at the moment.

I tend to cram my pots really full, and I don't expect them to last more than one year, so I would put 5 in the 12" and 8 in the 18".

I would also put lots of trailing verbena or lobelia round the edges.

And I decided last year never to get white geraniums again, they look gorgeous until it rains, then they look like old paper bags.

does this help? Thompson & Morgan

Thanks for that - I've gone for bright pink geraniums so white trailing may go. I'm always worried about putting too many in.. Are your plants should to shoulder so to speak? I'd love nice full pots. Weather is rubbish today so may go for a trip to the garden centre
