Can I mow 'overseeded' lawn?

It's starting to look lush and lovely but I only seeded it in September last year. It grew wonderfully, and again starting to flourish, but quite patchy. I want to overseed it but I guess if I do I can't mow. Else risk sucking up the new seed. Wwyd?

Mow and then seed it. Then leave it for 3 weeks before mowing again. It should have germinated in around 2.

Thanks Doreen. And ok to mow 'only just germinated'?

Depends what kind of mower you have. We have a big old beast that would rip out new grass, but a light hover mower that will just top it.
