Stupid previous owners put a flower bed on top of the bloody (crappy) patio. Can't afford to redo the entire garden so just dug the whole thing up and broke up all the Pacers and removed them. Deeply satisfying.

I think it will need some edging though. Is the rolled up stuff okay? Have 3 small kids who will end up leaning on it inevitably.

I CAN'T WAIT to get planting in it all the pick axing has loosened up the soil nicely so a few bags of manure shd be enough to give some good growing. And I had to expand it slightly given the way the pacers were laid. Photos of the crap that came out and the new bed

Good for you, FreeButtonBee. What were the last lot thinking? You might be able get some ground cover plants to soften the edging.

I have no idea. Crazy. They'd put a ton of work in creating a retaining wall with loose bricks. Which didn't work at all. 🙄
