dandelion heads

I know that it's best to not put perennial weeds with roots or seeds in the compost bin. I've starting pulling off dandelion heads (the yellow bit) so they don't get the chance to self-seed. Is it still OK to compost these if the white seed 'umbrellas' haven't started showing yet?

Yes, if no seed heads developing, I reckon it's safe to compost.
