Hello, I hope you're all enjoying the sunshine and thank you in advance for any help!

I was in our garden earlier (for first time in a while!) when I found a plant I think may be Japanese Knotweed and have been majorly panicking ever since!

I've attached some pictures. It was about a foot high and just one stem.

The stem looks like JK but the leaves don't (according to my frantic Google imaging!). My mum thinks it is a different sort of dock plant but I'm a paranoid wreck.

What do you think?

Many many thanks in advance....

It is NOT japanese knotweed Smile

It's a common weed, I see it everywhere. Cant think of the name, it could be a type of dock.

It's just like the dock in our garden.
If the leaves are spikey it may be young teasels but I do think it is dock.

I cannot tell you how relieved I am - THANK YOU. I've been stressing about it (probably disproportionately due to baby - induced sleep deprivation) nonstop. Thanks again x

YES - it is common dock. Put the leaves on a stinging nettle sting - otherwise, dig is out, and DON'T LET IT FLOWER AND SEED or you will have a garden-full of them!
