Hello,

Does anyone know what this might be. I used to have 2 in my tip of a garden, (when we first moved in). One used to 'flower' which was actually more a sort of clump of berry type things. The other one was a bit worse for wear, but now is coming back to life a bit.

The one that was in good health used to produce the berry/flower sprays early, I would say March ish, but was removed last year when the garden was done up. The other one hasn't flowered thus year but is looking healthier and I'm pretty sure is the same thing.

It looks like it needs separating as it is now a big clump.

Thanks

Were the red parts always red? It looks like a lily but if you've never seen a flower..

The red parts are like a cluster of berries forming a 'show', they come off single stems.
The 'berrie' stems it throws out were always red and seemed to be its show instead of flowers.

I think it might be iris foetidissima but am probably totally wrong.

Ooh, I think you might be right. I'll keep a close eye on it for the flowers - thanks

I'd split it, I have a vague feeling they stop flowering if congested.
