parasene weed kilker

I have a gravel drive and a paved garden.

I have three dogs, a cat and a rabbit and two guinea pigs. I've been using a spray and a wire brush on a long handle to remove weeds but quite honestly, hate it!

I'm knocking on a bit and find bending over a bit of bother!

Homebase sell a Parasene Gas canister weed killer which has two positive reviews.

Are these any good? I would really like something easy and quick to use. I like that it gives instant reaults.!

It's much better than chemicals.

My neighbours with a gravel garden use it. It seems to work for them.

Me, I prefer digging weeds out and composting them. But I know I am quite odd.

Thank you Doreen. I would give the dandelions to the guineas and rabbit but the dogs wee out the back so I do have to remove them. No point composting as the whole garden is completely paved, no lawn or flowerbeds!

I think I will try it, it's not a lot of money if it's rubbish! I will give feedback.

Oh I might try it too on the ground elder. Thanks OP hadn't thought of it.

I think these are quite good if you need to do a quick job. Like Doreen, I enjoy a bit of daisygrebber action myself, but I suspect we are in the minority Grin. Just - to state the obvious, don't use it near anything flammable - it can be easy to assume that nothing catches fire outside, but actually dry plants, e.g. any winter seedheads you haven't cut back, dried grasses from last year, and dry mulch can go up!!
