buying clematis online- advice please

want to get 3 clematis niobe-- would you go for a cheaper 11cm pot or 2 litre pots? anyone have any experience with gardens4you? many thanks

Last year in late April, Aldi had that very clematis for something like £5. I think it was in a 1 litre pot, certainly an established plant. Since they often have the same plants the next year, at roughly the same time, I would wait and see!

I've also had good plants from Aldo and lidl

If you do want to buy online, I'd go to specialist clematis nursery

I've bought from these people, the plants were big, healthy and very well packed . Their plants in 2l pots are only £1 more than gardens 4 you are charging for an 11cm pot

11 cm pots will need nurturing for 2 years before they flower

thanks - went with Taylors- now need to find the 18in pots they recommend! that is big!
