What is this super fast growing tree/bush?!

I've just nipped out through the front door (normally use the back!) and discovered that this bush thing is blocking the pavement! Shock Blush

Not the bloody buddleia (although that keeps blocking the pavement too!) The other bit?

And can I chop it down please?

Thanks in advance!

This was it in April.
When I say chop it down, I mean dig it out? Chopped it down before!

Actually ignore that!
Now I've seen the 'before' I prefer the 'after,'so just a good trim I think!

Would still like to know what it is though Grin

It's difficult to,see on my iPad as I can't zoom in on photos since I had it fixed by some dodgy backstreet geezer..

It could be some sort of willow? Which bit do you mean exactly? Any chance of a leaf close up?

Oh thanks, both.
Will get a better picture in the morning- this one's from last month sometime.

It's just grown so fast and so tall!

It's the bit in the left and right of photo. There's 2, and then another big thing in the middle!

Willow can grow really quickly and there are loads of different sorts so it could well be that.

For what it's worth I think it looks far, far nicer now :)

TheOddity · 08/09/2015 21:28

I reckon willow too.

I've just googled images of willow, and found pics that look exactly like it.
Thankyou!

Will just give it a good tidy up then Smile
I do love the way it makes my front more private, but couldn't believe how mad it had gone!

Thanks again!
And hope your iPad recovers from the backstreet geezer soon, Palomb!

Thank you but I think it's making the iPad equilivent of a death rattle :(

Glad we've helped in the identification :) most willows will root really easily so if you stick a bit you've chopped off in the ground it'll out out riots and create a new plant. If you like it you could spread it around the place. Some people even make willow playhouses, tepees, and fences etc.
