Hiring a goat?

We've got a chicken run at the end of our garden. It's a pretty big one, well fenced and secure. We haven't had any chickens since we moved in more than a year ago and it is completely overrun with weeds. We used a spray weed killer borrowed from a gardener friend in the spring, but it has all since regrown and I don't have time to weed it myself (the rest of the garden is keeping me busy enough!) I wouldn't be too bothered about just leaving it for wildlife but it does look a mess and it adjoins our neighbours garden, and I don't think they enjoy all the weeds too much! Has anyone hired a goat before to clear something like this? Is it even a good idea?!

might be easier to hire a brush cutter (industrial version of a garden strimmer) to quickly level the weeds,

if you re established the area for chickens they would keep regrowth in check with their pecking and scratching

Goats won't eat weeds. Geese are pretty effective natural weed control, but noisy and can be aggressive.
Brush cut it, and then put down some opaque weed barrier while you think about what to do long term

Thanks for the replies.Sounds like a non-starter then, never mind. It's a pretty big and uneven area so trying to cover it would be tricky. I'll look into a brush cutter to get it all down instead!
