I'd like to buy my daughter's childminder a rose as a thank you / leaving present and have found one with my daughter's name (childminder loves roses). However she's not leaving till Sept, just before she starts school. Do I buy a 4 ltr potted bush now, take photos of the roses, and look after it till Sept when presumably it won't look that special? How would I take care of it? Or is buying closer to Sept advisable? Are they even available then? She does keep a lot of her roses in pots.

TIA

I think this a lovely idea. I would give it to her now so that she can enjoy the blooms with your DD during her last few months. The rose might not be available in September. How kind you are.

Thanks, I think that's a great idea, I'm going to order it today
