Thanks for your advice to my thread:

An update, the magnolia and Japanese azalea are with good gardeners who will take care of them.
I lifted the fushias, removed the soil and added some perlite, then replanted without the twigs and grass.
The soil wasn't compacted but the fushias roots were compacted with soil. There were lots of worms in the pot as well, is this a good sign?
I have another pot with miniature carnations in it, I bought them last year and they survived the winter, I repotted them, but on looking at it, it's looks a bit overcrowded.
Should I leave them or should I thin them out a bit?
I'm really enjoying gardening, but no one in RL is interested xxx
The advice on here is invaluable, thanks xxx

Good work, they look happy!

I would leave them this year, water regularly in dry spells, and enjoy! You can then divide the carnations next spring. (Thinning is more something for seedlings).

You're doing really well! Please keep posting and come join our longer running threads. There's more than enough gardening obsession on here to compensate for real life lack of interest!

Thanks I'm trying my best, I really like flowers so I've planted sweet peas & geraniums. Fingers crossed.
It sometimes seems a bit cheeky to just keep asking questions and since I'm new I can't really answer many questions xxx
Thanks again xxx

Some of us really like being asked questions! Often the questions are something other people are worried about anyway
