Unhappy aloe vera

I've repotted my 3?4? yr old aloe Vera - bigger pot, 3-1 compost-sharp sand mix but it doesn't seem happy.

It's gone almost droopy looking - just doesn't look right.

Any advice? More sharp sand? Plant deeper in an even bigger pot?

The middle 'leaf' is bending over more day by day.

Can't answer the questions but have a similar query.
The plant was damaged by my grandson, who put his toy cars all over it and inside the soil .
Bought some grit, wished I'd got sand now when I saw how sandy the original soil is. It jas two baby plants and wondering wether to separate them now or wait and see what happens
