ants!!

I have 2 veg planters in my garden, one full of seedlings. I pulled back the tarp on the other to plant some late season veg and it is full of ants. What can i use to get rid of them?

I am no expert but I don't think ants generally bother plants or do lots of damage (in fact, they can be positively beneficial in dealing with aphids). So I would maybe wait and see if there is a problem before doing anything!

But if there a lot of them they can disturb plant roots in some situations.
