What plants to get for my balcony please?

I have a townhouse with a balcony (SW facing, sunny) and would love to put some plants out there. Can anyone advice about what to get please?

Depends on how much maintenance you want to do and whether you are able to water them during the day. For year round, low maintenance the evergreens are best. But if you are happy to maintain them, pelargoniums or geraniums are very colourful. Eonumous make good background shrubs, especially with silver leafed plants, ivy and lavender. Herbs or succulents would also do well.
