Oops! I've disturbed a bees nest.

I had the idea to move my compost bin to the back of the garden. It seemed to be blocked in the middle anyway and I could make better use of the space where it was. So I pulled the bin up and over the compost meaning the contents have spilled over a small lawn. I have a pile of lovely compost and a lump of grassy stuff. This is where the nest is.

I've googled what to do to move the nest safely but everything says leave it alone. I can't just leave it in the middle of the lawn, I'm sure it wouldn't be helpful for the bees as they would be exposed to the sun and would likely be peed on regularly by the dog.
Do you think I could carefully lift the whole clump of grass to the back of the garden, about 20 feet away and cover it back over with the compost bin?
