Destroying weeds

I have patio slabs and weeds keep coming up in between them. I also have an 11month old who loves to eat grass/ weeds/ any thing that will fit in her mouth. Daisy's are a favourite!
Are my only options weed kill and avoid the garden incase she eats the bad stuff/ keep weeding them (which I'm struggling to find time for), or does anyone have any child friendly weed killing ideas?
Thank you!

If it's just between the slabs then a kettle of boiling water kills them in a few hours.

It's definitely the most environmentally friendly way Smile

That sounds like a good plan, I will try it tomorrow. Thank you for the tip! :)

Daisies and grass won't kill your DD.
I can't think of any weeds likely to pop up between paving slabs that would be poisonous.
Foxglove, laburnum and lupins are toxic but they are unlikely to grow in the cracks and certainly wouldn't get established enough to start producing flowers or seeds, which are the poisonous parts.

Sorry I wasn't clear when I wrote my op, I'm nervous about putting weed killer on the weeds and grass as she loves putting it all in her mouth, and I want to avoid her eating the chemicals in weed killer :) your right cutted - normal grass etc is fine :)
