My poor red robin

It has flowers but is looking a bit scant of leaves. Any suggestions why and what I can do?

Yep mine too. Have cut back the lankiest shoots today to try to renovate it a bit. I know they do lose leaves at this time of year but mine is pretty sparse apart from the new growth. A Fish blood and bone feed might also be a good idea!

What is red robin? I was about to suggest mealworms but clearly that wouldn't be any help in this case....

Photinia is it's other name ... There are some wonderful ones around just not mine
