Am I too late to plant bare root Roses

Hi I have a couple of gaps in my borders and have had a look at planting some roses. Should I go for potted or do you think that bare rooted would flower this year?

I'm not sure where you would get bare root roses at this time of year. I would go for potted, or wait until autumn for bare root.

I've just bought one from David Austin and planted it this evening. I presume they wouldn't have sold it to me unless it was going to be ok. Hope not, anyway!
