Irregular raised herb bed - what centrepiece?

As you come up the side of my house you can see I have a raised stand alone irregular shaped bed on the edge of my patio. Currently I grow herbs in it. I want something tall in the middle to give the bed some height and also to distract the eye as you come in the garden - it's an open site a nothing too delicate. Any thoughts????

We have a birdbath at the centre of our herb garden.

If you mean a herb, what about lovage?

If not a herb, what about a little tree? A patio rose tree or one of those little fruit trees?

bay tree cut into a lollipop shape? can't remember the official name, but it is a herb (ish), looks good all year and pretty hardy.

Bird bath/feeder can work until the visiting birds poo on all your herbs.
