Hello. Has anyone grown fruit and veg in a VegTrug? What works? How much fits in? (I've got a 1.8m one) Has anyone ever seen any planting plans for a VegTrug?

I have lots of ideas (strawberries, blueberries, potatoes, carrots, salad and herbs, cherry tomatoes) but am after more.

My 4 year old DD wants bananas and oranges Grin

Watching this as I want to get a VegTrug for this summer. I have some flower sprout seeds and was thinking of getting a young plant collection from Crocus.

I wonder if it really reduces slug/snail damage?

Yes, I'd been looking at similar collections from quickcrop.co.uk but think I might just get some plug plants from my local garden centre.

I thought I might try peas as well, I want things my DD can see grow and can pick and eat Smile

I grew peas for the first time last year they were a massive success although my little toads still refused to eat them
