Which outdoor dining set between these two?

Have tried them both out in the shop and both seats were very comfy.

I like the bronze metal set as its a lovely shape.
I also like the glass and aluminium one for its modern clean lines. (Would be a big contrast against an 1800's house)

it will be sitting in a small garden with red brick patio

Second one too modern. First one a bit minimal/dull.

I don't really want anything too fussy

(No wood/ no rattan/no cushions)

Garden is small so clean and usable is what I am after.

Plus one of these for lazy days

I'd go for the second. I like a nice big table. Round tables are less practical imo.

In my experience round tables can be a bit of a squeeze for four place settings and allow little room for serving dishes/ salad bowl/ condiments.

I've chosen folding chairs this time round so I can store them more easily over winter. I had the stacking type before and found the mesh discoloured and metal rusted when left outside (covered with the correct fitting tarps, too).

Just a couple of things to consider Smile

I'm not a fan of glass tables - all that bloody chinking every time something is moved and have also heard of few occasions where the glass has got damaged in some way (not always visible) and then shattered in strong sunlight.

Friends' glass tables have developed a green tinge caused by rainwater becoming trapped between the glass surface and metal frame. It's evident at at the outer edge and the inner parasol hole. I don't know how long they've had the tables Confused
