Size of pot for an orange tree

Hi all

DH and I disagree. He wants us to get a couple of orange trees for inside an extension we've built. He wants them about 1.7m tall but thinks we'll have pots that are only about 25cm in diameter - I think they'll need to be at least a metre in diameter.

Who is right?

I hope this link works. I've got two dwarf citrus in 40 cm pots outside but will put them in half barrels next year for their permanent homes.

Citrus roots run out quite close to the surface, so need some area to do well, so wider rather than deep pots needed. DH is mistaken.
