Replacing established shrubs

We have a wiegela and pink hydrangea in our very tiny garden which I am not especially keen on. We only have space for a few shrubs so I was wondering if I could dig them out and replace with something else. I love philadelphus belle etoile but it might be best to have something evergreen as well - any suggestions?

an early flowering camellia; daphne (fabulous scent); sarcococca (dull but the most absolutely fabulous scent); osmandus (ditto). Hebe.

For the autumn - Abelia. In a sunny spot, bees go crazy for the flowers.
