I need something tall (ish) for my trough. Any ideas please?

I have a trough which is against the conservatory wall and receives sun/partial sun at different times of the day.
I did have mint in, but its died off and I need something to replace it.

I was thinking maybe some ornamental grasses, or something evergreen as the green will go well with the Wink black trough, something easy, and a bit tall to hide the ugly bottom half of the conservatory wall.
Your help is needed, oh wonderful gardeners! Smile Smile

How about a dwarf conifer or a buxus pyramid? Just be careful they are not exposed to too much harsh wind over the winter as it can 'burn' the leaves. You can then plant heathers, cyclamen, pansies, etc around them for winter colour. And pop some bulbs in now for the spring - dwarf narcissi are nice in containers and muscari will echo the shape of conifer or box tree.
