Storing chillies?

Hi I've got a chillie plant and there's more on it than we can eat so wondered how I store them - do I dry them, freeze them? Put them in oil?

Any ideas?

Leave them on the plant, dry them, string them up, make chilli powder, freeze them or make chilli jelly [see nigella's recipe for chilli jam which is fantastic]...the options are endless.

I make the chilli jam/jelly, and then sieve it and keep the large pieces in their own jar for using when cooking. The jelly bit then gets used for eating with cheese. Glorious. You can also use less sugar and make a dipping sauce [just cook it for less]. Wonderful stuff.

Ooh can I hijack thread and a) echo Funky ' recco for the Nigella recipe, and b) ask if anyone knows any good recipes for green chilli jam or jelly?

I freeze mine whole when they are ripe and they last me until the next years crop is ready, green ones freeze equally well too!
