Who lives in a house like this?

Yesterday morning woke up to a 'burrow' looking hole at the bottom of one of our pines. Couldn't see where it went - looked more like a hole than a tunnel - all the excavated debris was on the path- hey up- what's this???

Anyway I filled it back in and no movement at all during the day - but this morning it is back.....

What do you think is making it and do I need to take action? Have filled it in again today....

Set up a night vision camera and find out that way!

I kept popping out last night as it got darker and darker but didn't spot anything.

The hole hasn't been redug this morning so perhaps they've moved on......

Possibly rabbits. Unless you are bothered by them coming into the home, you is blessed!

No real movement to report - filled it in a second time and had my DSs pee around it! Thought we'd mark it as ours..... It's right by our garden path so not a great location.

Some little disturbance this morning but not in the same place- towards the back of the tree....so have forked over the area and will get all the males in the house to scent it over the weekend

Are there any droppings near it?

Nope - not seen any droppings nearby or footprints.

The hole was direcly onto the edge of the path which is why I saw it so clearly.

Yesterday I forked over the areas as much as I could - it's maily pine needles - and spread them around a bit - and had a peeing session from the boys! Seems undisturbed this morning.
