Daft question, but........chilli peppers

Can anybody tell me if there are any chilli peppers which I can grow that are not too hot/medium, but tasty?

I've never bothered with them until now, as they seem to be the 'in' thing to grow at the moment, but they all seem to be hot-very hot.

Please advise before I make a mistake and end up with fire coming out of every orifice

Hungarian Hot Wax are very mild...as are Serrano.

I've grown Cajun Belle this year, lots of flavour, not too much fire

I find most chillies I grow end up not being as hot as expected. Even though mine are in a greenhouse they don't usually get the long hot summers needed to get that intensity of chilli heat, and each plant can be different, so it can be difficult to judge how much to add to a meal. My favourite chilli is 'Ring of fire' which I use one chilli per dish to get a 'madras' medium hot heat if that makes sense. I bung all my chillies in the freezer whole at the end of the season, they last me until the following years crop!

"Not too hot" is a very relative term...

I love Ring of Fire but wouldn't call it suitable for people who don't actually like things to be spicy.

"Super Chilli" is a good windowsill-sized plant that produces a good amount of fruit.

Thanks all. I think a windowsill chilli plant sounds the best idea.

I don't want a massive glut, so good to know they can be frozen.
