Magnolia, not sure how 'quick' it is though.

I also love the foliage on Robinia (false Acacia) and the blossom on Cherry trees

I totally love the blossom on magnolia and cherries-shame it doesn`t last longer.

Just asked my Mum (I don't know the first thing about gardening lol!) and she suggested a lilac or jacaranda tree (should point out that we are in Spain and not sure how well a jacaranda would grow but she said Lilac grows well in UK).

Magnolia. I've no idea how quick it is or easy to grow etc but I'd love one. They are beautiful.

I love magnolia too and my mom has a lovely tree in her garden ,dont know name but it has orange/red leaves and they change colour to yellow/green.

we've got a really lovely silvery one outside on the green it's huge and has tons of green parakeets on it (they have just returned) i'll find out tomorrow what it's called.
