Ok, a few years ago, bought house and replanted patch in front of front window. One of the plants was a broom as I love the spindly branches and yellow flowers in early spring.
But my broom has turned into a monster. Dh cut it in half last year (misheard me telling him specifically not to prune it
know, I know, I should LTB
) and this has actually made it worse, it's now this dense huge bush (higher than me!) Crowding out everything else.
Anyway, can't decide what to do with it, is it worth trying to thin it and rescue it? Should I just wrench it out (gonna be a big job and leave a huge hole), should I chop it in half?
My instinct is to pull it out really, just wondering if anyone else has a view?
