Vegetable patch in a tractor tyre, anyone else have one?

I finally have my little patch, need a bit more soil and ready to go.

Is there anything I can plant now? I've been growing potatoes, strawberries and onions in pots but excited now to put something in here...

Anyone else grown fruit and veg in a tyre? Any tips, advice?

according to the rhs site you can still plant beetroot seeds and lettuce and a few other things i can't remember...oh french beans
