having grown 5 to 10ft,t hey are coming to end of their lives. what do i do with them now?

cut the heads off, ,dry them out and colletc the seeds - toast them on a baking sheet - yummy

We harvest some and leave the rest as are for the birds we have tempted in bluetits, gold and greenfinches and chaffinches with them.

how do i dry them out? stick them in airing cupboard?

I am doing mine in the september sun - moving them in when it look slike rain( but I live in the US - I don't think the English climate is up to that)
