What plant is this and should I repot it outside?

Any ideas? We were given it when it was teeny and I've had it on the windowsill. It looks a bit big for the pot now but I have zero gardening skills. Am frankly amazed it's still alive. Should I put it in a bigger pot outside?

Begonia, it can be bedded out but I'd just pot it up in compost and allow lots of drainage. It won't over winter .It might be a leaf cutting or may be grown from a corm. Lift it out and see. Don't over water or it will rot.

You could just keep it inside but maybe give it a bit bigger pot and an occasional bit of Baby Bio and it should flower sometime. I have a beautiful yellow one on the windowsill which I got for under £1 from a florist's sale, it looked half-dead then but is now enormous and lovely!

I have a larger Begonia in the same sized pot.
I'm not repotting it yet.

I'd leave it inside if you want it to live longer than this summer.
I let mine dry out completely before I water it. It's done extremely well over the years.
Nice pot by the way.Smile

and don't feed it or it will not flower.

Right, have put it in a bigger pot outside, mainly because I needed the pot it was in for something else Blush if it doesn't take well to too much water is it worth sticking it somewhere covered when it rains badly?
