My lavender is smothered in these weirdy ladybirds.

Anyone seen them before?

Sorry but neither photo is clear enough to see them at all on my phone.

oh dear - I have these! they have decimated a lot of plants. They also eat rosemary, thyme, sage, and perovskia. Your lavender (which is gorgeous by the way) will suffer pretty quickly unless you can get them off and keep getting them off.

I have decided to replace plants instead, because they are in a fairly inaccessible place, so I can't just keep removing them, and I don't use sprays at all.

DH DD and I have been round this morning picking them all off. There were loads.

Rosemary beetle. You know you have to squash them to kill them? If you just pick them off they'll come back again.

Yes I know. Have been picking them off and treading on them. DH squishes them in his fingers. Sad

Sometimes gardening is shit. Sad
