why aren't my tomatoes ripening?

Never thought I'd be asking a question on MN that didn't involve toddlers, preganacy, tantrums etc but I am having problems with my tomatoes!
They are in my greenhouse (I have beef ones and I think the others are just alicante) they get sun most of the day but have been green for weeks now.
I have heard a few people say that they are doing better outside this year and alot of people's aren't ripening in the greenhouse.
Does anyone have any ideas of what I could be doing or might have done wrong?
(I have bought a few inside to ripen on the windowsill in desparation, but even that doesn't seem to be working!)

Mine are outdoors, I have lots of geen but none have ripened yet either. Normally I do really well with tomatoes but not this year!

I have lots of green and one red, thought i was just crap as its my first time.

We're growing some cherry tomatoes outside and have lots of red ones for the last 10 days or so.

No green-fingers here so I think its pure fluke!

bring them all indoors in a paper bag on the sill if they don't ripen in the current sunny swpell (well here amnyway) or you'll lose them. Worst scenario, you can make a lovely green tomato chtney

Tomorite might help ? Toms are v. greedy.

Mine are outside and have been ripingfor a while but loads for the past week.I have some on my windowsill that had fell off in the winds last week and are ripening just in a bowl in the sun.

have you had a chat with them?

joolstoo - no I haven't but think they need a serious talking to...

becuase the weather over there is bl**dy awful!!
