Under the trampoline

The lawn is turning brown under the trampoline. To be expected, I know, but is there anything I can do about it?

If not, is there an alternative, shade-loving, low-maintenance, ground-cover plant that I could grow there instead? Preferably a non-invasive one that would not colonise the rest of the lawn!

Do you manage to cut the grass under there? I think if the grass is left long it can make it brown. I always used to strim ours under the trampoline and it survived as long as the trampoline (8 years).

We now under the trampoline, but it's still going brown. It's only been up a few months.
